A transmissão e a criação musical dos grupos de maracatu de baque virado parisienses
Musical transmission and creation in the Maracatu de Baque Virado groups of Paris.

In this presentation my objective is to analyse the multiple experiences, spaces, performers and objects engaged in the musical creation of the Parisian Maracatus. Thus, the musical transmission and creation modes reveal the narrow bonds that connect the aesthetic and political dimensions of a presently globalisedmusical experience.

Doctoral student in Ethnomusicology at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales, Emilia Chamone is a percussionist, arranger and music teacher. She works at the Conservatoire de Paris/10ème, at ARIAM and at the Philharmonie de Paris.
