The King’s Brazil Institute, founded in 2008, provides a focal point for Brazil-related activities across a range of academic disciplines. Today, we lead research on internal political, economic, and social dynamics of Brazil, as well as its ever-changing international role.

The year 2020 marked the tenth anniversary of the King's Brazil Institute (KBI). Under its founder and first director, Professor Anthony Pereira, the KBI has established itself internationally as an academic point of reference for Brazilian Studies.
